Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services across Lyndhurst. The role offers flexible, sessional work within established GP clinics, ideal for nurses experienced in routine treatment room activity and day-to-day clinical operations.

You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing responsibilities, clinical reviews and patient-facing procedures in well-organised environments, with weekday, evening or weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with primary care experience.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt to new practice environments quickly.
• Knowledge of common clinical systems is beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Completing smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required.
• Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems.
