Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services in East Grinstead. This role offers flexible sessional work in established GP clinics, ideal for nurses experienced in routine treatment room activity and day-to-day clinical operations.

You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing responsibilities, clinical reviews and patient-facing procedures in well‑organised environments.

Qualifications

• Must be NMC-registered with primary care experience.
• Strong treatment room competency and infection control.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new GP environments.
• Knowledge of common clinical systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Completing smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required.
• Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems.
