Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics across Bradford On Avon. The role includes routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general clinic support within GP environments.

You will perform observations, assist with clinical tasks, help maintain smooth patient flow and contribute to safe, efficient patient care. Flexible shifts across weekdays, evenings or weekends, suitable for short-term or ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident with routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial (not essential).
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine clinical observations.
• Supporting treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Performing ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy where trained.
• Recording information accurately in clinical systems.
• Providing general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Helping maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
