Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting enthusiastic EYFS professionals to support children in Reception classes and Early Years settings across Sunderland and South Tyneside. Flexible part-time and full-time roles are available throughout the academic year, with long-term and permanent opportunities through partner schools for September starts.

Qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare practitioners are welcome to apply, with a caring, proactive approach and a passion for helping children

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years, Childcare or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience in nursery, preschool or school EYFS settings.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
• Caring, patient and proactive approach.
• Availability for at least 1-2 days per week (flexible).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher with engaging Early Years activities and continuous provision.
• Working with individual children and small groups to support learning through play.
• Promoting children's communication, language and social development.
• Supporting children's personal, social and emotional wellbeing.
• Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities.
• Encouraging independence, curiosity and confidence.
• Supporting children with additional needs where required.
• Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
