Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for Early Years professionals in Durham (DH1 1AA) to work as Nursery Nurses, Early Years Practitioners or Teaching Assistants across partner settings starting September 2026. You will support learning through the EYFS, create engaging activities, and help children develop communication and numeracy skills.

We welcome nurturing, reliable candidates with Level 2 or 3 EY qualifications and childcare experience.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualifications.
• Qualified Nursery Nurse or Teaching Assistant.
• Experience in nursery, school or childminding settings.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through the EYFS.
• Create fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Observe and contribute to children's learning journeys.
• Support early phonics, literacy and numeracy development.
• Foster communication, language and social skills.
• Build trusting relationships and promote wellbeing.
• Encourage independence and learning through play.
• Maintain a safe, caring environment for children.
