Job summary

Thrive Education is seeking enthusiastic Early Years Assistants to support nurseries and preschools across Cirencester and surrounding areas. Flexible Monday–Friday work with the opportunity for day-to-day, short-term, or long-term placements.

Ideal candidates have prior experience with children and a genuine passion for early years development, even without formal qualifications. A DBS check is desirable and training can be discussed at registration.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with or supporting children is preferred.
• You don't need a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Genuinely enjoy working with young children, be caring, patient and enthusiastic.
• Be reliable and adaptable and comfortable joining different teams/settings.
• Willing to complete safeguarding checks; DBS Update Service is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children through play and activities.
• Help create a safe, positive and nurturing environment.
• Support children's social and emotional development.
• Assist with daily nursery routines.
• Work alongside qualified Early Years Practitioners.
• Build positive relationships with children and staff.
• Provide additional support wherever needed.
