Job summary

Thrive Education is seeking enthusiastic Early Years Assistants to support nurseries, preschools and early years settings across Gloucester and surrounding areas. You'll build on your experience with children, working with settings on a flexible part-time basis, with options for day-to-day, short-term and longer assignments.

No formal childcare qualification is required, but you should be reliable, patient and caring, and willing to complete safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in nurseries, preschools or schools
• Ability to adapt to different settings and teams
• Willingness to complete safeguarding and compliance checks
• Comfort working with young children in play-based settings
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support children through play and activities
• Help create a safe, positive and nurturing environment
• Support children's social and emotional development
• Assist with daily nursery routines
• Work alongside qualified Early Years Practitioners
• Build positive relationships with children and staff
• Provide additional support wherever the setting needs you
