Job summary

Superdrug is hiring for a temporary part-time Trainee Pharmacy Assistant in the UK. The role welcomes those without pharmacy experience and those with NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing to join the team in a busy pharmacy environment.

Hours are 8 per week (Saturdays) with flexibility for weekdays. Salary is £13.80 per hour for Dispenser roles or up to £13.00 per hour for trainee positions; 3-month temporary contract with potential extension. Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing or equivalent (or keen to start as trainee)
• Excellent customer service and a friendly, positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and work well in a team or independently

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Deliver excellent service at the pharmacy counter and in dispensary
• Ensure customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism
• Maintain high standards of presentation and merchandising
• Be NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing or equivalent OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin as trainee
• No prior experience required but a passion for healthcare and customer service

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Location: Preston St Georges
Hours: 8 hours per week which will be Saturdays and we would like as much flexibility to work week days as and when needed.
Salary: £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour depending on age (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
