Job summary

Superdrug Stores in Preston is seeking candidates for a pharmacy team role. We welcome qualified dispensers and those with no experience who want to start as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant in a temporary 3-month position with potential extension.

You'll support the pharmacy team with counter sales, stock replenishment and exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary, while learning through on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) or keen interest in healthcare to start as trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – passionate about healthcare and customer service.
• Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment.
• Delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary.
• Ensuring customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensersand those with no pharmacy experiencewho are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Location: Preston St Georges

Hours: 8 hours per week which will be Saturdays and we would like as much flexibility to work week days as and when needed.

Salary: £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour depending on age (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

We’re Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) ORa keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.

• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
