Job summary

Superdrug is seeking a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant at Leeds Merrion Centre to support counter sales and dispensary tasks in a friendly team.

Candidates with NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing or those eager to start in healthcare will be supported with training and development opportunities, including the chance to progress within our network of pharmacies.

This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with set weekday shifts and a starting hourly rate (£13.80 as a dispenser or up to £13 as trainee).

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent).
• No prior experience required; passion for healthcare and customer service.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Delivering service across the pharmacy counter and dispensary

Location: Leeds Merrion Centre (LS2 8NG)

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday - 12:30 - 5:30, Tuesday - 13:30 - 5:30, Wednesday 12:30 - 5:30 AND Friday 11:30 - 5:30

Salary: £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13 per hour (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary

We’re Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
