Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll drive a Royal Mail van around your delivery area, deliver letters and parcels come rain or shine, and stay active throughout the day.

Requirements include a full UK manual driving licence with up to six points, ability to walk up to 20,000 steps per day, and flexibility to work varying shifts. Pay rates range from £13.69 to £16.44 per hour depending on the shift.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; you need to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels around your delivery area in all weather.
• Drive a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Provide exceptional service and ensure items reach their destination safely.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items in line with business standards.
