Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers to serve communities with a hands-on, outdoor role.

As a Post Person with Driving, you will drive a Royal Mail van, deliver letters and parcels, and sometimes deliver on foot across routes. You’ll need a full UK driving licence and be able to walk long distances.

Shifts vary by day and time, with several pay rates depending on the shift.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to walk up to 20,000 steps per day and handle a mailbag weighing up to 16 kg.
• Flexible to work varying shifts at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your daily round.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and complete route on foot where required.
• Ensure items are delivered on time and in good condition.
