Principal Education is seeking Cover Supervisors for secondary schools across Berkshire. The role welcomes youth workers, sports coaches and mentors to supervise classes when teachers are absent, using pre-prepared materials and activities.

The position offers flexible hours and opportunities across multiple Berkshire schools, with ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant to help you gain valuable school-based experience.

Formación

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Calm, flexible and reliable approach.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS if not held already.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining a safe, calm and positive classroom environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and activities provided by teaching staff.
• Support students with learning, behavioural and additional needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation.
• Act as a positive role model and build effective relationships with students.
• Record and report attendance, behaviour or safeguarding concerns.
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school leadership.
