Job summary

Principal Education is seeking reliable Cover Supervisors to support students across Berkshire. You will supervise classes in the absence of teachers, delivering pre-prepared lessons and assisting learners with learning and behaviour.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is valued.
• Ability to manage pupil behaviour effectively in a secondary-school setting.
• Able to build positive relationships and support learning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining a safe, calm and positive classroom environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and activities provided by teaching staff.
• Support students with learning, behavioural and additional needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation.
• Act as a positive role model and build effective relationships with students.
• Record and report attendance, behaviour or safeguarding concerns.
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school leadership.
