Job summary

Tradewind Education in Worksop is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our growing supply pool across Worksop and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible day-to-day, short-term, or longer-term placements, with a focus on maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent.

As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared work and support students to stay engaged.

Qualifications

• Confident and comfortable working with secondary-aged students.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Able to follow lesson plans and school procedures effectively.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Supervising students in the absence of their usual classroom teacher.
• Delivering and explaining pre-prepared lesson materials and activities.
• Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning.
• Maintaining a positive, safe and productive classroom environment.
• Managing behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policies and expectations.
• Taking attendance and reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
• Providing appropriate support to students where required.
• Ensuring classroom resources and equipment are used appropriately.
• Following school policies and procedures at all times.
• Building positive and professional relationships with students and school staff.
• Providing feedback to the relevant teacher or department where appropriate.
