Job summary

Academics is recruiting for general Cover Supervisors to supervise secondary classes in Caerphilly, starting 5 October 2026. You will create a safe, engaging learning environment and manage pre-set tasks provided by subject teachers for KS3 to KS5.

Qualifications

• DBS verification can be produced through us.
• Registered with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) can be provided through us.
• Currently undertaking a university degree.

Responsibilities

• Create a supportive learning environment where pupils stay on task and complete set-work
• Collect completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
• Produce feedback to the class teacher outlining behaviours, achievements and concerns
• Upholding school policies and procedures related to child protection, health and confidentiality
• Interact with pupils to tailor support to individual needs
