Job summary

The Supply Register is recruiting Cover Supervisors to join the John Taylor Multi Academy Trust Bank Staff Pool for Secondary Schools from September 2026. This role offers flexibility across full‑time, part‑time, short‑term and long‑term assignments at multiple Trust sites.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young people, solid communication, and a professional approach to behaviour management, with a genuine interest in education and safeguarding compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people is desirable.
• Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and professionally.
• Adaptable, organised and reliable approach.
• A genuine interest in supporting students and schools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during the short‑term absence of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre‑planned lessons and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning while maintaining high expectations.
• Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times.
