Empower Outreach is seeking a Permanent Community Support Worker to provide flexible, community-based support to children, young people, and families in homes, schools, and local services. You will build trusting relationships, support wellbeing and independence, and work with families to strengthen routines while safeguarding and recording progress.

The role requires evenings and weekend availability, lone-working, and travel across allocated areas, with DBS checks and a driving licence

Qualifikationen

• Experience supporting children, young people, or families.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Experience building positive relationships with young people.
• Experience working independently and using initiative.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Aufgaben

• Provide practical and emotional support to families and young people in home, school, and community settings.
• Strengthen routines, boundaries, and communication with parents and carers.
• Safeguard and report concerns, identify risks, and contribute to risk management plans.
• Maintain accurate records, assessments, and session notes.
• Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
• Engage in mandatory training, supervision, and reflective practice.
• Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and travel between allocated areas.
