Job summary

Aramark in Edinburgh is recruiting a Chef on a zero-hour contract to support the kitchen during peak times, annual leave, and events. You will prepare and cook fresh meals while upholding food safety and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy catering or hospitality environment.
• Passion for food and delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

• A flexible and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals.
• Supporting daily kitchen operations and food service delivery.
• Ensuring excellent food presentation and portion control standards.
• Maintaining food safety, allergen management, and health & safety compliance.
• Assisting with stock control, ordering, and stock rotation.
• Minimising food waste and maximising efficiency within the kitchen.
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.
