Job summary

Home Group is seeking flexible bank support workers to assist customers in daily living tasks and independent living, across Worcestershire. You’ll choose your shifts and help people build skills and confidence.

You will support mental health clients in various services, conduct assessments, and contribute to person-centred plans, enabling progress toward move-on goals with compassionate, professional care.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to cover shifts at short notice
• Calm, confident decision-making under pressure
• Passion and experience in supporting others, ideally in housing support
• Ability to work with customers who have mental health conditions

What You’ll Do

• Assist customers with their daily living tasks to develop their independence, achieve their goals aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans
• Support vulnerable customers in a variety of services
• Support Customers with daily tasks like budgeting, cooking and attending appointments
• Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews
• Help customers build independence and prepare for their move‑on into the community

You have

• Flexibility to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift
• Confidence to work in differentservices, locations or teams and get on with colleagues
• Passion and experience in supporting others, ideally in a supported housing setting
• Experience of caring for others – professionally or personally
• Calm, confident decision-making even under pressure
• You will be working with our customers who have mental health conditions to rebuild their lives and their independent living skills to move forward in their lives.

The practical bits

• This is a 24-hour rota, with staff working shifts between 7:00am and 11:00pm, including sleep-in cover from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
• You will be offered shifts which will include, days, evenings and sleep in shift cover as we provide a 24hr service.
• You’ll support our Mental Health Supported Housing Team across the Worcestershire area.
• You need an Enhanced with barring list (we pay)
