Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group in Bishopthorpe is seeking a Bank Nursery Practitioner to join our flexible casual team. You will support children and colleagues, covering shifts as needed across the nursery in a warm, caring environment.

We value adaptability and a genuine passion for early years, with DBS checks and safeguarding in place. A Level 2/3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential, and sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a childcare or Early Years setting.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support children and colleagues across the nursery when needed.
• Cover holidays, support during busy periods, or help provide consistency for children.
• Assist with play, learning activities, and creating a safe, nurturing environment.
