Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised for the role.
• Genuine passion for working with babies and young children.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Understands safeguarding and child development.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, adaptable and confident working in different nursery settings.
• Can build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Previous nursery or childcare experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Support children's communication, physical, social and emotional development.
• Provide high-quality care, including supporting mealtimes, personal care and daily routines.
• Observe children's progress and contribute to their learning journeys.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage children's independence.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming nursery environment.
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff to ensure every child receives excellent care.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times.
