Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Houlton in Rugby is seeking Bank Nursery Practitioners to join our flexible bank team. You will support children and staff across the nursery, covering holidays and busy periods, helping maintain a consistent, caring environment for early learning.

This casual, zero-hours role offers flexible shifts (morning, afternoon or full-day), with additional holiday pay on top of hourly rates. DBS checks and right-to-work verification are part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare or Early Years setting preferred.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification desirable but not essential.
• Crucial qualities: caring approach, reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support children and colleagues across the nursery as needed.
• Cover holidays and busy periods to keep operations running smoothly.
• Provide consistency for children when teams need extra support.
• Assist with daily routines, play, and learning activities.
• Contribute to a safe, nurturing environment and promote exploration.
