Job summary

Spire Bushey Hospital is seeking a Medical Records Administrator on a bank basis to support the Medical Records department with filing, tracking and retrieval of patient records across the hospital. You will work ad-hoc shifts, delivering accurate record-keeping in line with GDPR and hospital policies, coordinating with wards and departments and ensuring timely access to records for clinics and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous administration or customer service experience.
• Good IT and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Tracking and recording the movement of case notes.
• Filing, retrieving and preparing patient records for departments and clinics.
• Maintaining and updating medical records to agreed standards.
• Liaising with wards, departments and off-site storage providers.
• Handling patient information in line with GDPR and hospital policies.
