Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking Bank Care Workers to support residents living in our Extra Care schemes across multiple locations in the North region. You will work on an as-and-when basis with no guaranteed hours, and shifts may be picked up at short notice.

Pay is £13.48 per hour, with a full-time equivalent of about £24,601 per year based on 35 hours per week. You’ll join a friendly, supportive team and gain opportunities for training and development within Housing 21.

Qualifications

• Must be kind and friendly.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Willingness to undertake further training.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily tasks (laundry, shopping, cleaning).
• Prepare meals and beverages; assist with personal care.
• Encourage residents to follow care plans and maintain wellbeing.
• Assist with getting up, dressing, and nighttime routines.
• Maintain documentation and communicate progress to managers.
