Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a 1:1 Supply Teaching Assistant in Plymouth and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible day-to-day supply with fixed school hours (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) and the chance to support students with academic, social, and emotional needs.

You will work across primary and secondary settings, gaining valuable experience while avoiding long-term planning duties. Applicants should have 1:1 support experience, strong communication, and a willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people on a 1:1 basis.
• Proactive, patient and resilient with clear communication.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils throughout the school day.
• Adapt classroom tasks to meet individual learning needs and goals.
