Job summary

Stagecoach Glenrothes Depot is seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager to lead a team of Engineers, Technicians and Cleaners at the Glenrothes depot. Based at Glenrothes, the role oversees a fleet of around 63 vehicles with a 38-hour week and a £52,000 annual salary.

You will ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and road-ready, while driving improvements in maintenance, safety compliance and team development.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering experience including mechanical, electrical and bodywork knowledge.
• Experience managing or supervising a workshop or technical team.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices and regulatory standards.
• Understanding of PCV operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to deliver safe, reliable and well-presented vehicles.
• Schedule and prioritise vehicle maintenance and servicing activities.
• Support team development, identify training needs and foster continuous improvement.
• Quality check vehicles after maintenance to ensure high standards.
• Uphold health, safety and environmental standards in line with legislation and Stagecoach policy.
