Job summary

Ford & Slater Limited in Devizes is seeking a Supplier Operations Controller to join the DAF Fleet Services team. You will help keep our customers' fleets available by coordinating Vehicle Off Road (VOR) issues and liaising with DAF dealer networks to ensure swift, reliable service.

The role offers a base salary of £30,750–£34,500, with a quarterly bonus of up to £1,500 (potentially £6,000 extra per year), 22 days holiday plus service-based increases, and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience of vehicle repair / fleet management within the commercial vehicle / automotive sector would be a distinct advantage.
• Ideally have some technical automotive / commercial vehicle experience, maybe as a Service Advisor, Parts Advisor or a Technician looking to move out of the Workshop.
• An understanding of the importance of reducing Vehicle Off Road (VOR) time.
• A proven track record of providing outstanding customer service.
• Have a can do attitude and enjoy troubleshooting.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
• A high level of IT literacy and comfortable on the phone and using email.
• Be organised, resilient and have the ability to work on your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• The principle objective of the team is to provide great customer service through making our customers fleet more available on a day to day basis and by communicating thoroughly to ensure they can plan for scenarios that arise as a result of their vehicles being off the road.
• You will be an integral part of a team responsible for managing the uptime of our customer fleet and building strong collaborative relationships primarily with DAF's dealer network, the largest in the UK.
• You will have day to day responsibility for Vehicle Off Road (VOR) progress and escalation channelling through third party partners and suppliers.
• Mitigating VOR downtime and proactive reduction via a robust process of liaison, support and working with other providers through our large portfolio of support to deliver great service through prioritisation and issue resolution.
