Aviva in Glasgow is seeking a Fleet Trading Underwriter to manage a personal book and support senior underwriters with tailored motor and property risks. You will collaborate with brokers to understand client needs, applying data insights to produce competitive terms and favourable outcomes for customers.

The role emphasizes strong relationship-building, prudent risk selection, and adherence to FCA regulations within a mid-market scope.

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in Motor and/or Property & Liability.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Analytical and decision-making ability to interpret data and risk factors.
• Time management and prioritisation across multiple cases.
• ACII qualification (or working towards) and knowledge of FCA rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own book of business within the Glasgow team.
• Support the senior underwriter and team manager in day-to-day activities.
• Use data insights to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Build and nurture relationships with brokers and customers to understand needs.
