Job summary

Right Now Recruitment is seeking a Transport Coordinator in Crawley for a full-time permanent role. You will support drivers with technical issues, schedule inspections and MOTs, and manage fleet data using Excel/Outlook/Word, while ensuring cost controls and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have HGV/LGV knowledge, a full UK license, and strong planning abilities. Office-based position with regular local travel as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical or Technical driver support.
• HGV/LGV knowledge.
• Full UK driver’s license (Essential).
• Good geographical knowledge or scheduling/route planning experience.
• Ability to manage your own time and to use your initiative.
• Flexible nature and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Being the first contact to support drivers with technical and breakdown issues.
• A methodical approach to arrange timely safety inspections and MOT bookings, observing Operator Licence conditions.
• Computer literacy in Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Data input on the internal fleet management software, training will be given.
• Cost control and authorisation of vehicle repairs not covered within servicing contracts.
• Ad hoc duties within the Transport team.
