Job summary

M J QUINN INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED is seeking a Fleet Technology Co-ordinator to manage and optimise telematics and fleet technology platforms, ensuring accurate system configuration, data integrity and compliant operations.

You will act as a key liaison between Fleet, IT, suppliers and operational teams, install and deinstall hardware, maintain dashboards, monitor uptime, analyse data trends and provide user training to support continuous improvement in efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with telematics platforms and fleet management systems.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to train and support users.
• Experience in process improvement and technology integration projects.
• Familiarity with AI camera technology and advanced telematics features.

Responsibilities

• System Administration & Configuration: Configure and maintain telematics platform, set up vehicles/drivers/groups, dashboards, alerts, and reporting.
• Installs and Deinstalls: Coordinate installation/removal of telematics hardware with minimal downtime.
• System Uptime & Issue Resolution: Ensure 24/7 operation, respond to downtime and resolve issues with supplier collaboration.
• Data Integrity & Reporting: Ensure data accuracy across fleet systems and analyze trends for risk areas.
• Training & Support: Deliver training and provide user guides for Webfleet functionality.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify tech enhancements and feed back to supplier for improvements.

Acting as a key liaison between the Fleet department, IT, suppliers, and operational teams, the postholder will drive innovation and continuous improvement in fleet technology.

Salary £28,500

Working hours : 08:00am to 16:00pm

Reports to: Transport Support Manager

The Fleet Technology Co-ordinator will be responsible for managing and optimising telematics and fleet technology platforms. This role ensures accurate system configuration, data integrity, and effective utilisation of technology to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and driver safety. Acting as a key liaison between the Fleet department, IT, suppliers, and operational teams, the postholder will drive innovation and continuous improvement in fleet technology.

Responsibilities

System Administration & Configuration

• Manage and maintain the telematics platform, ensuring accurate setup of vehicles, drivers, and groups.
• Configure dashboards, alerts, and reporting tools to meet operational and compliance requirements.
• Monitor system updates and implement new features following quarterly releases.

Installs and Deinstalls

• Coordinate and oversee the installation and removal of hardware and associated telematics equipment across the fleet.
• Ensure all installs and deinstalls are documented, scheduled efficiently, and carried out in line with compliance and safety standards.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to minimise downtime during equipment changes.

System Uptime & Issue Resolution

• Ensure the telematics/camera system is fully operational at all times, proactively monitoring for faults or disruptions.
• Respond quickly to any system downtime or technical issues, implementing immediate corrective actions to restore functionality.
• Work closely with the supplier to resolve problems and prevent recurrence, maintaining business continuity.

Data Integrity & Reporting

• Ensure data accuracy across the platform and related fleet systems.
• Analyse trends to identify risk areas and recommend corrective actions.

Training & Support

• Deliver familiarisation sessions and provide user guides for Webfleet functionality.
• Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and liaise with the supplier for escalations.

Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with Fleet leadership to identify technology enhancements and process improvements.
• Channel feedback to the supplier for custom feature requests.
