Job summary

Foxtons is seeking an experienced Fleet Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our fleet function and manage a team of fleet colleagues. The role requires hands-on leadership, problem-solving and a proactive approach to service excellence.

You will coordinate vehicle movements, maintenance, repairs and vehicle availability, oversee driver activity, implement cost-saving initiatives, manage supplier performance and produce operational reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet management, vehicle operations, leasing or automotive sectors.
• Supervisory or team management experience.
• Strong operational understanding of fleet, maintenance and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of fleet professionals with regular reviews to support engagement and service excellence.
• Manage daily fleet operations including vehicle movements, maintenance, repairs and availability.
• Coordinate driver activity and ensure resources are deployed efficiently.
• Support employees and drivers with fleet queries and escalations.
• Oversee fleet claims activity and work to reduce damage and costs.
• Support fleet compliance, driver safety and risk management initiatives.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor service performance.
• Produce operational reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service and cost.
• Act as the operational lead for the fleet department in the Head of Fleet Risk & Operations' absence.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and developing a team of fleet professionals, conducting regular one-to-ones and performance reviews to support engagement, development and service excellence.
• Managing daily fleet operations, including vehicle movements, maintenance, repairs and vehicle availability.
• Coordinating driver activity and ensuring resources are deployed effectively.
• Supporting employees and drivers with fleet-related queries and escalations.
• Overseeing fleet claims activity and helping to reduce vehicle damage and associated costs.
• Supporting fleet compliance, driver safety and risk management initiatives.
• Managing supplier relationships and monitoring service performance.
• Producing operational reports and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service and cost performance.
• Acting as the operational lead for the fleet department in the absence of the Head of Fleet Risk & Operations.

About You

What We're Looking For

• Experience within fleet management, vehicle operations, leasing or the automotive sector.
• Previous experience supervising or managing a team.
• Strong understanding of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and supplier management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and operational systems.
• A proactive and customer-focused approach.
• Confidently represent the fleet function through presentations, training sessions and stakeholder briefings, communicating key fleet initiatives, policies and operational updates.
• Experience managing a corporate fleet.
• Knowledge of fleet claims, motor insurance or fleet risk.
• Experience with electric vehicles and driver compliance programmes.
