Job summary

Foxtons Estate Agents is seeking an experienced Fleet Supervisor to oversee the daily fleet operations and lead a team of fleet colleagues. This role focuses on driving efficiency, resolving issues, and delivering high service levels across the fleet function.

You will be responsible for vehicle movements, maintenance, driver coordination and maintaining strong supplier relationships, while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of fleet professionals with regular 1:1s and reviews.
• Manage daily fleet operations including vehicle movements and maintenance.
• Coordinate driver activity and allocate resources efficiently.
• Support employees and drivers with fleet queries and escalations.
• Oversee fleet claims and work to reduce vehicle damage and costs.
• Drive fleet compliance, driver safety and risk management.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor service performance.
• Produce reports and identify efficiency, service and cost improvements.
• Act as operational lead for fleet in absence of Head of Fleet Risk & Operations.

About The Role

We're looking for an experienced Fleet Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our fleet function and manage a team of fleet colleagues.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fleet professional with strong operational and people management experience who enjoys leading teams, solving problems and driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and developing a team of fleet professionals, conducting regular one-to-ones and performance reviews to support engagement, development and service excellence.
• Managing daily fleet operations, including vehicle movements, maintenance, repairs and vehicle availability.
• Coordinating driver activity and ensuring resources are deployed effectively.
• Supporting employees and drivers with fleet-related queries and escalations.
• Overseeing fleet claims activity and helping to reduce vehicle damage and associated costs.
• Supporting fleet compliance, driver safety and risk management initiatives.
• Managing supplier relationships and monitoring service performance.
• Producing operational reports and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service and cost performance.
• Acting as the operational lead for the fleet department in the absence of the Head of Fleet Risk & Operations.

About You

What We're Looking For

• Experience within fleet management, vehicle operations, leasing or the automotive sector.
• Previous experience supervising or managing a team.
• Strong understanding of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and supplier management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and operational systems.
• A proactive and customer-focused approach.
• Confidently represent the fleet function through presentations, training sessions and stakeholder briefings, communicating key fleet initiatives, policies and operational updates.

Desirable

• Experience managing a corporate fleet.
• Knowledge of fleet claims, motor insurance or fleet risk.
• Experience with electric vehicles and driver compliance programmes.
• Fleet or automotive qualifications.
