Job summary

Lloyd Recruitment Services is seeking a Fleet & Environmental Services Manager or Assistant Manager for a Leatherhead-based operation with travel across the South East. You will take ownership of the day-to-day fleet and environmental services, ensuring full legal compliance, high vehicle availability, safe operations and cost-effective decision-making.

The role offers development within a supportive team, line managing a Fleet & Environmental Coordinator, and driving KPI performance such as

Qualifications

• CPC qualification advantageous.
• Experience in commercial fleet management.
• Knowledge of transport compliance and vehicle maintenance processes.
• Experience using telematics systems and managing driver performance.
• Confident managing suppliers and operational issues.
• Organised, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage full fleet compliance including servicing, MOTs, road tax, insurance, and repairs
• Oversee maintenance schedules, accident management, and insurance claims
• Monitor fuel usage, mileage, fines, and congestion charge compliance
• Review telematics data to improve driver behaviour and safety
• Lead driver inductions, leaver vehicle processes, and arrange training programmes
• Manage incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and resolution
• Support waste collection, recycling, and environmental reporting activities
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, repair networks, and service providers
• Line manage a Fleet & Environmental Coordinator

Fleet & Environmental Services Manager or Assistant Manager

Upto £51,382.50 + vehicle allowance of £6k p/annum

Must be a holder of manual driving licence

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a large commercial vehicle fleet and associated environmental services. It’ll be essential to retain full legal compliance, high vehicle availability, efficient, safe, and cost-effective fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full fleet compliance including servicing, MOTs, road tax, insurance, and repairs

• Monthly telematics and environmental reporting completed accurately

About You:

• CPC qualification advantageous
• Strong background in commercial fleet management
• Good knowledge of transport compliance and vehicle maintenance processes
• Experience using telematics systems and managing driver performance
• Confident managing suppliers and operational issues
• Organised, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
