Job summary

Kinaxia Logistics Limited seeks a Fleet Supervisor at our Eastleigh site to lead the control and oversight of the fleet, ensuring vehicles, trailers, and equipment are serviced per schedules and kept in a safe, cost-effective condition.

You will oversee MOTs/PMIs, maintain records, coordinate repairs with service providers, and drive KPI reporting to improve service levels. This role requires leadership of direct reports and hands-on fleet management using telematics data.

Qualifications

• Transport manager CPC desirable
• Continued up to date knowledge of vehicle maintenance rules and regulations
• Continued up to date knowledge of latest techniques, technology and vehicle models
• Commercial experience of managing an owned fleet

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise work schedules with Transport and Planning Department, including MOTs and PMIs, and assign duties to ensure high service levels.
• Utilise fleet control system to maintain accurate maintenance records, ensuring cost effectiveness and quality.
• Coordinate, authorise and monitor repairs by service providers and ensure vehicles are compliant and safe.
• Lead, develop and motivate direct reports to maximise potential and deliver world-class service.
• Produce and share weekly KPIs on VOR/MOTs/Service schedules and turnaround times for data-driven decisions.
• Maximise fleet availability to meet service expectations and manage VOR tolerance.
• Oversee installation and maintenance of trackers across vehicles and trailers, monitor fleet utilisation with telematics data.
• Manage on/off de-fleet processes to repair damages and recover losses.
• Oversee yard operations with clear parking processes for VOR and service vehicles in health and safety compliant spaces.

Job description

Kinaxia are looking to recruit an Fleet Supervisor to join their team at their site in Eastleigh. The role of the Fleet Supervisor will be to lead on the control and overseeing of the fleet to ensure all vehicles and trailers, equipment and assets are presented for service as per maintenance schedules and maintained in a safe, cost effective, efficient manner.

About The Job

• Lead on the liaison with the Transport and Planning Department to plan and organise work schedules, including MOTs and PMIs, then allocate duties appropriately within the department, or externally if required, to deliver and maintain high levels of service.
• Lead on the full utilisation of any Fleet control system to maintain accurate maintenance and service records, ensuring cost effectiveness and quality always.
• Manage the co-ordination, authorisation and monitoring of the completion of all repairs done by the service provider, manage maintenance requirements to ensure all vehicles are in a compliant and safe working condition.
• Lead, develop and motivate direct reports to ensure they reach their full potential and subsequently contribute effectively to the overall performance of the business and deliver a world class service.
• Produce and share weekly KPIs on VOR/MOT's/Service schedules and turnaround times to ensure all parties have accurate and relevant data.
• Maximise the availability of the fleet to an agreed target and ensure VOR numbers are kept within the agreed minimum tolerance in order to meet service expectations.
• Manage the fitting and maintenance of trackers to all vehicles and trailers across the fleet to ensure they are operational and monitor fleet utilisation using telematic data providing effective and useful reporting to the management team.
• Manage the on/off de-fleet process to ensure damages / losses are repaired and recovered effectively.
• Manage both yards with a clear process for parking VOR and service vehicles to ensure it meets all health and safety requirements and fully utilises the space.
