Job summary

Sixt Dorchester Depot is hiring a Rental Agent to be the first point of contact for customers and colleagues. You will manage bookings, assist with queries, and provide advice on products while ensuring accurate paperwork and smooth vehicle transfers.

You will build lasting relationships with blue-chip clients and SMEs, work in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy a starting salary of £29,500 per year with a bonus, along with Pension, generous leave, training, and staff rental benefits.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a high-volume, fast-paced agent role, preferably within the Hire industry.
• Able to work under pressure independently and as part of a team.
• Keen eye for detail; accurate handover paperwork and vehicle inspections.
• Strong communication for clear and friendly interactions with customers.
• Willing to work on a shift rotation to cover branch operating hours.
• Valid driving licence with at least 12 months driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bookings are placed on appropriate systems and paperwork is sent/retrieved.
• Develop new and existing business through relationships with customers via email and phone.
• Answer customer calls to assist with queries, offering advice and information.
• Complete all paperwork related to vehicle transfers and yard checks.
• Maintain professional on-site face-to-face interactions with clients.
• Accurately calculate rental estimates, chase quotes, and follow up.
