Job summary

Sixt Dorchester Depot is hiring a Rental Agent to be the first point of contact for customers and colleagues. You will manage bookings, assist with queries, and provide advice on products while ensuring accurate paperwork and smooth vehicle transfers.

You will build lasting relationships with blue-chip clients and SMEs, work in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy a starting salary of £29,500 per year with a bonus, along with Pension, generous leave, training, and staff rental benefits.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a high-volume, fast-paced agent role, preferably within the Hire industry.
• Able to work under pressure independently and as part of a team.
• Keen eye for detail; accurate handover paperwork and vehicle inspections.
• Strong communication for clear and friendly interactions with customers.
• Willing to work on a shift rotation to cover branch operating hours.
• Valid driving licence with at least 12 months driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bookings are placed on appropriate systems and paperwork is sent/retrieved.
• Develop new and existing business through relationships with customers via email and phone.
• Answer customer calls to assist with queries, offering advice and information.
• Complete all paperwork related to vehicle transfers and yard checks.
• Maintain professional on-site face-to-face interactions with clients.
• Accurately calculate rental estimates, chase quotes, and follow up.

As part of our Vehicle Hire Division, you’ll be contributing to a rapidly growing operation that provides a wide range of light commercial vehicles to an impressive portfolio of clients. Our customer base spans blue-chip corporations, public sector organisations, and medium-sized enterprises, all of whom rely on us for a dependable, flexible, and high-quality hire service. You as a Rental Agent will be the key point of contact for our clients and internal colleagues within the Depot. In this customer-focused role, you will establish and develop new and existing business through building excellent relationships with our customers, assist with queries, offer advice, support and information, and recommend relevant company products. YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You ensure bookings are placed on appropriate systems accurately and send out and retrieve paperwork where necessary
• You establish new and develop existing business through relationships with customers via professional email and telephone correspondence
• You answer calls from customers to assist with queries, offering advice, support, and information, and recommending company products
• You complete all associated paperwork relating to vehicle transfers and yard checks
• You maintain appropriate face-to-face interaction, hospitality, and professionalism towards clients on site

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Experience You bring significant experience working within a high-volume, fast-paced Agent role, preferably within the Hire industry
