Siemens Mobility in Northampton seeks a Rolling Stock Engineer to join the Asset Maintenance Optimisation team. You will lead investigations into rolling stock issues, optimise maintenance strategies and lifecycle costs, and drive reliability across the fleet while upholding safety standards.

You will provide technical leadership across the supply chain, develop technical specifications and risk assessments, and collaborate with suppliers and customers to deliver practical engineering solutions

Qualifications

• Proven experience of Rolling Stock Optimisation and condition assessment activities.
• Vehicle maintenance planning including RAMS/RCM.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to investigate technical issues, analyse data and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage risks.

Responsabilités

• Lead investigations into rolling stock engineering issues and safety defects.
• Optimise maintenance and lifecycle costs through analysis and strategies.
• Produce technical specifications, risk assessments and business cases.
• Provide technical leadership across the supply chain with suppliers and audits.
• Share best practices and drive continuous improvement in fleet performance.
• Champion safety standards and compliant railway operations.
