Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Fleet Controller in Ashby to manage the day-to-day vehicle fleet, procurement, compliance and reporting. You will coordinate with suppliers, lead audits, and support cost control while driving sustainability initiatives.

The role emphasizes data analysis, policy compliance and driver support, with opportunities to influence fleet strategy and EV deployment across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet management, fleet administration, transport, procurement or vehicle operations.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, as well as being highly organised
• Experience managing suppliers and external service providers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, reporting systems and administrative skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• CILT, FORS, IoTA or fleet-related qualification.
• Experience with fleet management systems and telematics platforms.
• Understanding of leasing arrangements and vehicle lifecycle management.
• Experience with fleet compliance standards.
• Knowledge of electric vehicle fleet deployment.
• Professional Procurement, transport or Fleet management certification.
• Operational Excellence or Transport Management roles

Responsibilities

• Fleet Administration: Maintain accurate fleet records for all company-owned, leased and hired vehicles.
• Vehicle Compliance & Governance: Ensure fleet compliance with MOTs, road tax, servicing and policy.
• Supplier & Contract Management: Liaise with leasing providers, hire suppliers and insurers; monitor performance.
• Incident & Insurance Management: Manage incident reporting and liaise with insurers and repair providers.
• Fleet Reporting & Data Analysis: Produce regular fleet performance reports and dashboards.
• Sustainability & Fleet Strategy: Support transition to lower-emission and EVs; participate in strategy development.
• Driver Engagement & Support: Advise drivers on policies; support inductions and engagement initiatives.
