Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet management, vehicle operations or automotive sectors.
• Previous experience supervising or managing a team.
• Strong understanding of fleet operations and supplier management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in fast-paced operational environments.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Excel and operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of fleet professionals with regular one-to-ones and performance reviews.
• Manage daily fleet operations including vehicle movements, maintenance and availability.
• Coordinate driver activity and allocate resources effectively.
• Support employees with fleet-related queries and escalations.
• Oversee fleet claims activity and work to reduce costs.
• Develop and implement fleet compliance and risk management initiatives.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor service performance.
• Produce operational reports and identify efficiency and cost improvements.
• Act as the operational lead for the fleet function in the Head of Fleet Risk & Operations' absence.
