Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment in Worcester is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a specialist HGV workshop. The role can be hands-on or supervisory, overseeing servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a UK-wide fleet, with a focus on safety and high engineering standards.

The successful candidate will have qualified HGV technician credentials, senior experience, and a clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Senior technician or workshop supervisor experience preferred.
• Strong HGV diagnostics and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a specialist HGV fleet.
• Lead the day-to-day operation of the workshop (Supervisor level).
• Coordinate inspections, planned maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with DVSA, ADR and Health & Safety regulations.

Role Overview

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking to take the next step into a supervisory role, or an established Workshop Supervisor seeking a new challenge with a leading engineering business? This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation operating a modern fleet of specialist HGVs across the UK and Ireland. You'll play a key role in keeping a safety‑critical fleet operating at the highest standards, with the opportunity to either work as a hands‑on HGV Technician or lead the day‑to‑day running of the workshop as a Supervisor. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a specialist HGV fleet
• Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the workshop (Supervisor level)
• Coordinate inspections, planned maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime
• Ensure compliance with DVSA, ADR and Health & Safety regulations

Working Hours

Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm (39 hours) 1 in 4 on‑call rota

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Previous HGV Technician, Senior Technician or Workshop Supervisor experience
• Strong HGV diagnostics and fault‑finding skills
• Good knowledge of workshop compliance and Health & Safety legislation
• Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 1 and ADR desirable)
