Holman UK is seeking a Maintenance Controller to join our Maintenance Team in Chippenham. This permanent role starts with full-time in-office training before transitioning to a hybrid pattern.

The successful candidate will manage authorization requests, validate pricing and labour times, challenge vendors, and ensure accurate data entry into Holman systems while minimizing vehicle downtime. We value technical vehicle qualifications, strong communication, and proven planning skills; the role

Qualifications

• Technical vehicle-related qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Detailed knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics, including LCV and HGV.
• Experience in a workshop or similar environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage difficult conversations.

Responsibilities

• Manage authorization requests promptly and efficiently, validating work is necessary and the correct pricing and labour times are applied.
• Challenging vendors where appropriate to ensure value.
• Ensuring highly accurate input of all appropriate information into Holman systems.
• Controlling vehicle downtime effectively, conducting quality work progression activity and updating systems clearly and accurately.
• Engaging with customers on authorisation activities and determining cost-effective solutions.
• Updating customers on work progress and outcomes; escalate concerns to the Team Leader.
