Perfect Placement UK Ltd seeks a Fleet Maintenance Controller in Flitwick to oversee repairs and manage the maintenance process from an office-based role. The position focuses on coordinating repairs, validating repair requests, and ensuring efficient vehicle downtime management.

The ideal candidate brings a strong automotive background, good IT skills, and experience in coordinating with garages and drivers. Monday–Friday work hours apply with no weekend duties.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of vehicle repairs and workshop processes.
• Ability to assess the necessity and reasonableness of repairs.
• Understanding of labour times and repair procedures.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessing repair requests submitted via the company's in-house system.
• Reviewing repair requirements to ensure necessity and validity.
• Checking labour times and repair recommendations for reasonableness.
• Authorising repairs and managing the maintenance process.
• Monitoring vehicle downtime and ensuring efficient repair progression.
• Liaising with garages and repairers to coordinate work.
• Arranging hire or replacement vehicles as needed.
• Providing regular updates to drivers on repair status.
• Maintaining accurate records and internal system updates.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with repairers, drivers, and clients.
