Job summary

Selecta is seeking a Fleet Trainer to deliver high-quality training across the business for drivers operating vans, HGVs and fleet assets. You will promote safe working practices, regulatory compliance and behavioural standards to reduce incidents and improve performance.

You will deliver classroom, digital and on-road training, perform driver assessments, and provide ongoing coaching. You will keep training records and support safety culture across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering driver or transport-related training.
• CPC Operator licence accreditation National.
• Strong knowledge of UK driving regulations, including DVSA standards and tachograph rules.
• Full UK driving licence (Category C preferred; Category C1 minimum).
• Willing to travel and occasional overnight stays.
• Experience coaching or assessing drivers (van and/or HGV).

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, digital, and on-road training covering manual handling, driver behaviour, and tachograph rules.
• Conduct driver assessments and provide corrective coaching.
• Deliver induction training for all fleet-related roles.
• Audit driver checks and vehicle condition for compliance.
• Monitor driver behaviours using telematics and intervene as needed.
• Maintain training records for audit and insurance purposes.
