Job summary

GAP Group is seeking a Fleet Disposal Manager to coordinate disposal of plant, equipment and vehicles across divisions. You will lead the Asset Disposal and Damage & Loss teams, acting as the central contact for asset disposal, refurbishments and reporting, ensuring timely processing of claims and KPI adherence.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and IT skills, and a deep understanding of lifecycle and valuation of plant/equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a fleet disposals team.
• Strong customer-facing skills and KPI focus.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office.

The Role:

As a Fleet Disposal Manager, you will be responsible for managing the disposal of plant, equipment and vehicles across all divisions. You will act as the central point of contact for asset disposal (including auctions), damage & loss, refurbishments and internal asset reporting. You will take full management responsibility for the Asset Disposal and Damage & Loss Teams, determining best routes for asset disposal and ensuring that damage and loss claims are processed accurately and time.

Applicants for the Fleet Disposal Manager position should have/be:

• Experience managing a fleet disposals team/function
• An excellent approach and first-class people skills
• Proven record of building and maintaining customer relationships and adhering to KPIs
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft office packages
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Understanding of plant/equipment lifecycle and valuation.
