Job summary

Fortnum & Mason in central London is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead ambitious flagship projects across retail, hospitality and store environments, balancing heritage with innovation to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You will coordinate Design, Property, Construction, Operations, Technology and Finance teams from planning through implementation, manage budgets and governance, and report to the Head of Store Transformation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering complex retail, hospitality, transformation or built‑environment projects.
• Proven track record of leading projects from concept and design through to implementation and operational handover.
• Strong knowledge of design, property and construction project delivery, ideally within a RIBA‑aligned environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead flagship transformation projects from planning through to implementation and benefits realisation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Design, Property, Construction, Operations, Technology, Finance, Marketing, Buying & Merchandising and Supply Chain.
• Act as the key point of contact for Executive Sponsors and senior stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure projects enhance customer journeys and strengthen the Fortnum & Mason proposition.
• Work closely with Design and Property teams to deliver projects within a live retail and hospitality environment.
• Manage project risks, dependencies and resources, ensuring issues are identified and resolved proactively.
• Oversee project budgets and financial performance, supporting commercially sound decision-making.
• Lead readiness planning, stakeholder engagement and change management activities to ensure successful adoption.
• Measure project outcomes and benefits, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
