You will own the department’s KPI, budgets and strategic initiatives, while coaching managers and ensuring a compliant trading environment. A strong background in high-volume trade and customer-focused leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Store/Branch/Department Manager or senior equivalent in builders’ merchants, trade, or high-volume retail.
• Capable of operating at scale in fast-paced, complex environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and drive performance.

• Full leadership accountability for a large, multi-function department within a flagship branch.
• Drive sales, margin and profit through excellent execution, team capability and customer experience.
• Lead, coach and develop managers and departmental teams.
• Create a service-led, trade-focused culture with exceptional standards.
• Own departmental KPIs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Performance management, succession planning and talent development.
• Ensure a highly commercial, safe and compliant trading environment.
• Act as a senior ambassador for the business within the branch and wider operation.
