Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Domestic Service Assistant to join the team at a Sexual Health Clinic. You will help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors, supporting health and wellbeing with attention to detail and a professional attitude.

The role involves various cleaning duties, following safety procedures, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and safe working practices.
• Understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, waste removal, stock replenishment, and cleaning internal glass.
• Complete routine, discharge, and infection-control cleans to the highest standards.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete required documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with COSHH, Health & Safety, and infection prevention procedures.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report faults or safety concerns promptly.
• Remove and dispose of general and clinical waste safely and correctly.
• Monitor stock levels and support replenishment of cleaning supplies.
• Work closely with colleagues and site teams to maintain a safe, clean environment.
