Job summary

Sodexo Ltd at the Sexual Health Clinic is seeking a Domestic Service Assistant to help create a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

You will perform routine cleaning, waste disposal and stock replenishment, follow COSHH and health and safety procedures, and work with site teams to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, standards and safe working practices.
• Understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, waste removal, stock replenishment, and cleaning internal glass.
• Complete routine, discharge, and infection-control cleans to the highest standards.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete required documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with COSHH, Health & Safety, and infection prevention procedures.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or safety concerns promptly.
• Remove and dispose of general and clinical waste safely and correctly.
• Monitor stock levels and support the replenishment of cleaning supplies.
• Work closely with colleagues and site teams to maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant environment.
