Job summary

LGPS Central is seeking an Investment Analyst (Fixed Income) based in Wolverhampton to deliver high‑quality research and analysis supporting Fixed Income investment decisions across internally managed portfolios and externally delegated mandates.

You will work with Portfolio Managers and the Investment Director (Fixed Income) to help deliver responsible investment outcomes, contributing to governance, risk monitoring and performance reporting for Partner Funds across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience of investment or financial analysis, particularly within Fixed Income markets.
• Understanding of Fixed Income investment principles, portfolio construction and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse investments and clearly document rationale and outcomes.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proven interest in Fixed Income investing and financial markets.
• Well organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• High standards of professional ethics, integrity and judgement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Awareness of responsible investment and stewardship concepts and their relevance to long-term investment outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality research and analysis to support investment decisions across Fixed Income strategies.
• Support Portfolio Managers in analysis, evaluation and monitoring of Fixed Income investments.
• Assist in sourcing, assessment and recommendation of new investment ideas.
• Undertake quantitative, qualitative and market analysis and document investment rationale.
• Support portfolio construction, implementation activity and ongoing monitoring.
• Assist with the implementation, oversight and maintenance of internally managed funds and external mandates.
• Contribute to the production of portfolio, performance and risk reporting.
• Support quarterly and annual reporting for Partner Funds and governance forums.
• Assist in analysing investment performance, risk metrics and outcomes relative to objectives and benchmarks.
